Jodie Dupuy, President

Jodie DupuyJoanne (Jodie) Dupuy teaches music and technology in RSU 3. She currently serves on several district committees including the Curriculum Coordinating Committee, Professional Development Committee, Technology Committee, and Teacher Action Plan Committee, all of which focus on enhancing student and staff learning through innovative approaches. In the past she has also provided environmental education to the Morse Memorial After- School Program, the Morse Memorial Green Team, as well as planning a district-wide Harvest Day for elementary students. Jodie received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from The University of Maine at Orono.

Lauren Errickson, Secretary/Clerk

Lauren is a farmer, herbalist, and permaculture designer who operates Singing Nettle Farm and Conscious Elements Permaculture in Brooks, Maine, with her husband Bill.  Living and working on the land allows Lauren to weave together her studies of ecology, environmental science, agriculture, and herbal medicine to create regenerative edible landscapes while providing her community with local food and medicine.  Lauren holds a M.S. Degree in Natural Resources from the University of New Hampshire, a B.S. Degree in Environmental Studies from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, and an Advanced Permaculture Design Certificate from Humustacia Gardens.

Marci Rossell McCarthy, Treasurer

Marci_Rossell_McCarthyMarci is a speaker on economics, politics, culture and the media.  She has served as an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, a litigation consultant for Deloitte and Touche, a spokesperson and investment economist for OppenheimerFunds and, most recently, as the Chief Economist for CNBC.  She lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Andrea Read

Andrea ReadAndrea is a poet and co-founder of Newforest Institute.  She received her PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures from the University of Chicago and her BA in Spanish and Economics from Rice University.  She has taught literature and language at Columbia College, Beloit College, The University of Chicago and Stanford University.  Her poetry is published in numerous journals and she is completing her first manuscript.  She lives in Kuwait and spends summers in Brooks, Maine.

Avy Claire

ACAvy Claire is an artist focusing on the place where human activity and nature intersect. She works in a variety of forms and scale, from paintings and drawings to indoor and outdoor installations. Avy exhibits throughout the country and her work is included in numerous private and corporate collections. She graduated with a BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1978. Alongside this studio practice, Avy has spent the past 20 years creating gardens and landscape solutions using her deep belief in a harmonious balance between human logic and nature’s order. This guides her in developing gardens that address all facets of the landscape: practical, conceptual and ecological.
